Charlotte Vick is the daughter of Jerome and Diane Vick, founders of Vick Family Farms. She is a graduate of NC State University and oversees the farm’s sales, marketing, financing, packaging shed, and transportation operations.

Charlotte grew up on the farm and vividly recalls as a 4-year-old watching and appreciating how hard her parents would work to ensure the farm was successful in its early days.

Charlotte’s role with the farm and its operations grew rapidly and unexpectedly in 2009 when her father became ill, and she was thrust into managing the farm’s operations and finances. She jokes that she always hated math, that is, until she became responsible for the farm’s financial statements and quickly loved watching them grow!

Ambition is a pillar of the Vick family’s success. It was instilled in her and her brother, Lyn, as children and still drives them to ensure the quality and service Vick Family Farms is known for to this day.

Similar to how she lives her life, Charlotte’s favorite quote is from the late, great Jim Valvano, former men’s basketball coach at NC State, “Don’t give up, don’t ever give up.” Charlotte lives and breathes family and farm. Outside of work, she loves spending time with parents, children, and grandchildren (Atlas and Oliver) and finds relaxation around the livestock. She has always dreamt of hauling a load of produce in the 18-wheeler, so don’t be surprised if you catch her pulling into your loading dock one day with your order!
